(12) بَابُ ذِكْرِ اجْتِمَاعِ مَلَائِكَةِ اللَّيْلِ وَمَلَائِكَةِ النَّهَارِ فِي صَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ وَصَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ جَمِيعًا، وَدُعَاءِ الْمَلَائِكَةِ لِمَنْ شَهِدَ الصَّلَاتَيْنِ جَمِيعًا.
Chapter 12: Angels of the night and day gather at Fajr and Asr, and their supplication for those who attend both prayers
Hadith 321
نا نا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، نا جَرِيرٌ ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ لِلَّهِ مَلائِكَةً يَتَعَاقَبُونَ فِيكُمْ ، فَإِذَا كَانَ صَلاةُ الْفَجْرِ نَزَلَتْ مَلائِكَةُ النَّهَارِ فَشَهِدُوا مَعَكُمُ الصَّلاةَ جَمِيعًا ، ثُمَّ صَعِدَتْ مَلائِكَةُ اللَّيْلِ ، وَمَكَثَتْ مَعَكُمْ مَلائِكَةُ النَّهَارِ ، فَيَسْأَلُهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِهِمْ : مَا تَرَكْتُمْ عِبَادِي يَصْنَعُونَ ؟ قَالَ : فَيَقُولُونَ : جِئْنَا وَهُمْ يُصَلُّونَ وَتَرَكْنَاهُمْ يُصَلُّونَ ، فَإِذَا كَانَ صَلاةُ الْعَصْرِ ، نَزَلَتْ مَلائِكَةُ اللَّيْلِ فَشَهِدُوا مَعَكُمُ الصَّلاةَ جَمِيعًا ، ثُمَّ صَعِدَتْ مَلائِكَةُ النَّهَارِ ، وَمَكَثَتْ مَعَكُمْ مَلائِكَةُ اللَّيْلِ ، قَالَ : فَيَسْأَلُهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِهِمْ ، فَيَقُولُ : مَا تَرَكْتُمْ عِبَادِي يَصْنَعُونَ ؟ قَالَ : فَيَقُولُونَ : جِئْنَا وَهُمْ يُصَلُّونَ ، وَتَرَكْنَاهُمْ وَهُمْ يُصَلُّونَ قَالَ : فَحَسِبْتُ أَنَّهُمْ ، يَقُولُونَ : فَاغْفِرْ لَهُمْ يَوْمَ الدِّينِ "
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty has some angels who come to you in succession, before and after. Then, when the time of Fajr prayer comes, the angels of the day descend and they join you in prayer, and then the angels of the night ascend. And the angels of the day remain with you. Then their Lord asks them, although He knows them well, 'In what state did you leave My servants?' He said that they reply, 'We came to them while they were praying and we left them while they were performing prayer.' Then, when the time of Asr prayer comes, the angels of the night descend and join you in prayer, then the angels of the day ascend and the angels of the night remain with you. He said that then their Lord asks them, although He knows them well, 'In what state did you leave My servants?' He said, I think they say, 'So (O Allah) forgive them on the Day of Resurrection.'"
Hadith 322
نَاهُ نَاهُ يَحْيَى بْنُ حَكِيمٍ ، نا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ ، نا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ وَهُوَ الأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " يَجْتَمِعُ مَلائِكَةُ اللَّيْلِ وَمَلائِكَةُ النَّهَارِ فِي صَلاةِ الْفَجْرِ وَصَلاةِ الْعَصْرِ ، فَيَجْتَمِعُونَ فِي صَلاةِ الْفَجْرِ ، فَتَصْعَدُ مَلائِكَةُ اللَّيْلِ ، وَتَثْبُتُ مَلائِكَةُ النَّهَارِ ، وَيَجْتَمِعُونَ فِي صَلاةِ الْعَصْرِ ، فَتَصْعَدُ مَلائِكَةُ النَّهَارِ ، وَتَثْبُتُ مَلائِكَةُ اللَّيْلِ ، فَيَسْأَلُهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ : كَيْفَ تَرَكْتُمْ عِبَادِي ؟ فَيَقُولُونَ : أَتَيْنَاهُمْ وَهُمْ يُصَلُّونَ وَتَرَكْنَاهُمْ وَهُمْ يُصَلُّونَ ، فَاغْفِرْ لَهُمْ يَوْمَ الدِّينِ "
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: "The angels of the night and the angels of the day gather at the Fajr prayer and the Asr prayer. At the Fajr prayer, the angels of the night ascend and the angels of the day remain, and at the Asr prayer, the angels of the day ascend. Then their Lord asks them: 'How did you leave My servants?' They say: 'We came to them while they were praying, and we left them while they were performing prayer.' Therefore, forgive them on the Day of Resurrection."
