(222) بَابُ نَضْحِ بَوْلِ الْغُلَامِ، وَرَشِّهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَطْعَمَ.
Chapter 222: Sprinkling and spraying a boy’s urine before he eats solid food
Hadith 285
نا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ ، نا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ ، عَنْ أُمِّ قَيْسٍ بِنْتِ مِحْصَنٍ الأَسَدِيَّةِ ، قَالَتْ : " دَخَلْتُ بِابْنٍ صَبِيٍّ لِي لَمْ يَأْكُلِ الطَّعَامَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَبَالَ عَلَيْهِ فَدَعَا بِمَاءٍ فَرَشَّهُ "
Lady Umm Qais bint Mihsan Asadiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that I came to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) with my young son, who had not yet started eating food. He urinated on the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), so he (peace be upon him) called for water and sprinkled it over the affected area.
Hadith 286
نا يُونُسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى الصَّدَفِيُّ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ ، أَنَّ ابْنَ شِهَابٍ ، حَدَّثَهُمْ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ ، عَنْ أُمِّ قَيْسٍ بِنْتِ مِحْصَنٍ الأَسَدِيَّةِ ، أَنَّهَا جَاءَتِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِابْنٍ لَهَا صَغِيرٍ لَمْ يَأْكُلِ الطَّعَامَ ، فَأَجْلَسَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي حِجْرِهِ ، فَبَالَ عَلَيْهِ ، فَدَعَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمَاءٍ فَنَضَحَهُ ، وَلَمْ يَغْسِلْهُ " . نا يُونُسُ مَرَّةً ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي مَالِكٌ ، وَاللَّيْثُ ، وَعَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ، وَيُونُسُ ، أَنَّ ابْنَ شِهَابٍ حَدَّثَهُمْ ، بِمِثْلِهِ سَوَاءً الإِسْنَادُ وَالْمَتْنُ
Narrated from Sayyidah Umm Qais bint Mihsan Asadiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she came to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) with her small child who did not eat food yet. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) seated the child in his lap, and the child urinated on him. So the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) called for water and sprinkled it over the affected area, but did not wash it. The Imam narrates from his teacher Yunus, from Ibn Shihab, that he reported the above narration with the same chain and text.
