(219) بَابُ ذِكْرِ الدَّلِيلِ عَلَى أَنَّ عَرَقَ الْإِنْسَانِ طَاهِرٌ غَيْرُ نَجِسٍ
Chapter 219: Evidence that human sweat is pure
Hadith 281
نا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ ، نا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ يَعْنِي الثَّقَفِيَّ ، نا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدْخُلُ عَلَى أُمِّ فُلانٍ ، فَتَبْسُطُ لَهُ نِطَعًا ، فَيَقِيلُ عَلَيْهِ ، فَتَأْخُذُ مِنْ عَرَقِهِ فَتَجْعَلُهُ فِي طِيبِهَا " . نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ ، بِمِثْلِهِ ، وَقَالَ : يَدْخُلُ عَلَى أُمِّ سُلَيْمٍ
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to go to Umm Fulan (Umm Sulaym), and she would spread a leather bedding for him. The Prophet (peace be upon him) would take a nap on it (he would sleep and sweat would come from his blessed body), so she would collect his sweat and mix it with her perfume and use it. The Imam narrates in the same way from his teacher Muhammad bin Waleed. In it, it is mentioned that the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to go to Sayyidah Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her).
