Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that we were responsible for herding the camels. (One day when it was my turn,) I brought them back in the evening, and I found the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) standing and addressing the people. I heard him say: "Whoever among the Muslims performs ablution and does it well, then stands and offers two units of prayer with attention of heart and face and with humility, Paradise becomes obligatory for him." He says, I said, "What a wonderful glad tiding!" There was a man in front of me who said, "The glad tiding before this is even better than this." I looked and saw that it was Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him). He said, "I think you have just arrived. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) also said: 'Whoever among you completes his ablution and then says: « أَشْهَدُأَنْلَاإِلَهَإِلَّااللهُوَأَشْهَدُأَنَّمُحَمَّدًاعَبْدُهُوَرَسُولُهُ » 'I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is His servant and His Messenger,' then all eight gates of Paradise are opened for him, and he may enter through whichever he wishes." This is the hadith of Abdur Rahman bin Mahdi (may Allah have mercy on him).
And that after completing ablution, one should bear witness to the servitude and messengership of the Prophet (ﷺ), and should not exaggerate in his status as the Christians exaggerated in the status of ‘Isa ibn Maryam (peace be upon him).
