(155) بَابُ ذِكْرِ أَخْبَارٍ رُوِيَتْ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْمَسْحِ عَلَى الرِّجْلَيْنِ مُجْمَلَةً،
Chapter 155: Reports on the Prophet’s wiping over the feet, in general
Hadith Q201
غَلِطَ فِي الِاحْتِجَاجِ بِهَا بَعْضُ مَنْ لَمْ يُنْعِمِ الرَّوِيَّةَ فِي الْأَخْبَارِ، وَأَبَاحَ لِلْمُحْدِثِ الْمَسْحَ عَلَى الرِّجْلَيْنِ.
Those scholars who do not have deep insight into hadith have erred in taking evidence from them, and they have declared it permissible for a person whose ablution has been invalidated to wipe over both feet.
Hadith 201
نا أَبُو زُهَيْرٍ عَبْدُ الْمَجِيدِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْمِصْرِيُّ ، نا الْمُقْرِئُ ، نا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الأَسْوَدِ وَهُوَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ مَوْلَى آلِ نَوْفَلٍ يَتِيمُ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يَتَوَضَّأُ وَيَمْسَحُ الْمَاءَ عَلَى رِجْلَيْهِ " . قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : خَبَرُ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ مِنْ هَذَا الْبَابِ
Ubadah bin Tamim narrates from his father, who says: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) performing ablution and wiping over the tops of his feet with water. Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that the narration of Nafi’ from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) is also in this chapter.
