(152) بَابُ الرُّخْصَةِ فِي الْمَسْحِ عَلَى الْجَوْرَبَيْنِ وَالنَّعْلَيْنِ.
Chapter 152: Permission to wipe over socks and sandals
Hadith 198
حَدَّثَنَا بُنْدَارٌ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ ، نا سُفْيَانُ ، نا سَلْمُ بْنُ جُنَادَةَ ، نا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ، نا سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي قَيْسٍ الأَوْدِيِّ ، عَنْ هُزَيْلِ بْنِ شُرَحْبِيلَ ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى الْجَوْرَبَيْنِ وَالنَّعْلَيْنِ " . قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : لَيْسَ فِي خَبَرِ أَبِي عَاصِمٍ : وَالنَّعْلَيْنِ ، إِنَّمَا قَالَ : مَسَحَ عَلَى الْجَوْرَبَيْنِ " ، وَقَالَ ابْنُ رَافِعٍ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " بَالَ فَتَوَضَّأَ ، وَمَسَحَ عَلَى الْجَوْرَبَيْنِ وَالنَّعْلَيْنِ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mughirah bin Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed ablution and wiped over his socks and shoes. Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that in the narration of Abu Asim, the words « والنعلين » "and over the shoes" are not present. He has only stated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) wiped over the socks. In the narration of Abu Rafi', it is mentioned that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) urinated, then performed ablution and wiped over his socks and shoes.
