Hadith 185
Sayyiduna Usama bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) entered an orchard (garden), and the Prophet (peace be upon him) went to relieve himself. He says that then both of them came out. Sayyiduna Usama (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I asked Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him), "What did the Prophet (peace be upon him) do (after going inside)?" Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) went to relieve himself, then (after returning) performed ablution, washed his blessed face and his hands, wiped his head, and wiped over his leather socks. Yunus has added in his narration « ثم صلي » "Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) performed prayer." Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that « الاسواق » there is a garden in Madinah Munawwarah. And Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I heard Yunus saying that, regarding wiping over leather socks while resident, there is no other hadith narrated from the Prophet (peace be upon him) except this one.
