( 134) بَابُ إِبَاحَةِ الْوُضُوءِ مَرَّةً مَرَّةً
Chapter 134: Permissibility of ablution once each
Hadith Q171
وَالدَّلِيلُ عَلَى أَنَّ غَاسِلَ أَعْضَاءِ الْوُضُوءِ مَرَّةً مَرَّةً مُؤَدٍّ لِفَرْضِ الْوُضُوءِ؛ إِذْ غَاسِلُ أَعْضَاءِ الْوُضُوءِ مَرَّةً مَرَّةً وَاقِعٌ عَلَيْهِ اسْمُ غَاسِلٍ، وَاللَّهُ- عَزَّ وَجَلَّ- أَمَرَ بِغَسْلِ أَعْضَاءِ الْوُضُوءِ بِلَا ذِكْرِ تَوْقِيتٍ، وَفِي وُضُوءِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَرَّةً مَرَّةً، وَمَرَّتَيْنِ مَرَّتَيْنِ، وَثَلَاثًا ثَلَاثًا وَغَسْلِ بَعْضِ أَعْضَاءِ الْوُضُوءِ شَفْعًا، وَبَعْضِهِ وِتْرًا دِلَالَةٌ عَلَى أَنَّ هَذَا كُلَّهُ مُبَاحٌ، وَأَنَّ كُلَّ مَنْ فَعَلَ فِي الْوُضُوءِ مَا فَعَلَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي بَعْضِ الْأَوْقَاتِ مُؤَدٍّ لِفَرْضِ الْوُضُوءِ؛ لِأَنَّ هَذَا مِنَ اخْتِلَافِ الْمُبَاحِ، لَا مِنَ اخْتِلَافِ الَّذِي بَعْضُهُ مُبَاحٌ وَبَعْضُهُ مَحْظُورٌ.
And the explanation of the evidence that even the one who washes the limbs of ablution once is called a washer (ghasil). And Allah Almighty has commanded the washing of the limbs of ablution without specifying a quantity. And in the washing of the limbs of ablution by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) once, twice, and three times, and in washing some limbs an even number of times and some an odd number of times, there is evidence that all these methods are permissible in (ablution). And whoever acts upon any one of the different methods of ablution performed by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) at different times, he will be considered as having performed the obligatory ablution. Because this is a difference in the permissible (methods) of ablution; it is not such a difference in which some (methods) are permissible and some are forbidden and impermissible.
Hadith 171
نا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، أَخْبَرَنا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ الدَّرَاوَرْدِيُّ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " تَوَضَّأَ مَرَّةً مَرَّةً "
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he performed ablution washing each part once.
