Hadith Q161
And the explanation of the evidence that when both feet are bare and not covered with leather socks, socks, etc., then it is obligatory to wash them, not to wipe over them, contrary to the statement of the Rafidah who say that wiping over the feet is obligatory, not washing them. Because if the person who wipes over the feet was fulfilling the obligation, then it would not be permissible to warn the one who leaves the more virtuous act with destruction, ruin, or the threat of Hell, whereas the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Woe to the heels from the fire." (He, peace and blessings be upon him, said this when those performing ablution had not washed their heels properly.)

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that we returned with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) from Makkah Mukarramah to Madinah Munawwarah, until when we were at a water (place or spring, etc.) on the way, the people hurried while performing ablution at the time of Asr and they were in haste. When we reached them, their heels appeared white and dry. Water had not reached them, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Woe to the heels from the fire! Complete the ablution properly."
Hadith 162
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Woe to the heels (left dry) from the punishment of the Fire."
