Hadith Q129
And the explanation of the evidence that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) commanded to cover the vessels at night; this command is not for the whole day.
Hadith 129
Sayyiduna Abu Humayd (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I brought a bowl of milk from Naqi’ to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) without covering it, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Why did you not cover it? Even if you had covered it by placing a piece of wood across its width.” Abu Humayd says that indeed the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded to close the doors at night, and commanded to cover the water skins at night. In the narration of Darimi, it is mentioned that indeed the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded to cover the vessels and tie the water skins at night, and did not mention the doors.
Hadith 130
