(80) بَابُ ذِكْرِ الدَّلِيلِ عَلَى أَنَّ سُقُوطَ الذُّبَابِ فِي الْمَاءِ لَا يُنَجِّسُهُ
Chapter 80: Evidence that a fly falling into water does not make it impure
Hadith Q105
وَفِيهِ مَا دَلَّ عَلَى أَنَّ لَا نَجَاسَةَ فِي الْأَحْيَاءِ، وَإِنْ كَانَ لَا يَجُوزُ أَكْلُ لَحْمِهِ، إِلَّا مَا خَصَّ بِهِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْكَلْبَ، وَكُلَّ مَا يَقَعُ عَلَيْهِ اسْمُ الْكَلْبِ مِنَ السِّبَاعِ؛ إِذِ الذُّبَابُ لَا يُؤْكَلُ، وَهُوَ مِنَ الْخَبَائِثِ الَّتِي أَعْلَمَ اللَّهُ أَنَّ نَبِيَّهُ الْمُصْطَفَى يُحَرِّمُهَا فِي قَوْلِهِ: [وَيُحِلُّ لَهُمُ الطَّيِّبَاتِ وَيُحَرِّمُ عَلَيْهِمُ الْخَبَائِثَ] [الْأَعْرَافِ: 157] وَقَدْ أَعْلَمَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ سُقُوطَ الذُّبَابِ فِي الْإِنَاءِ لَا يُنَجِّسُ مَا فِي الْإِنَاءِ مِنَ الطَّعَامِ وَالشَّرَابِ لِأَمْرِهِ بِغَمْسِ الذُّبَابِ فِي الْإِنَاءِ إِذَا سَقَطَ فِيهِ، وَإِنْ كَانَ الْمَاءُ أَقَلَّ مِنْ قُلَّتَيْنِ
And in this there is also evidence that there is no impurity in living things, even if it is such an animal whose meat is not permissible to eat. Except for that animal which the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) has specifically excluded, such as the dog and every predator to which the name of dog applies. Because the fly is not eaten and it is among those impure things about which Allah Almighty has stated that His chosen Prophet (peace be upon him) will declare them unlawful, in His statement « وَيُحِلُّ لَهُمُ الطَّيِّبَاتِ وَيُحَرِّمُ عَلَيْهِمُ الْخَبَائِثَ » [ سورة الأعراف ] "He makes lawful for them the good things and forbids for them the impure things." The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) has stated that if a fly falls into a vessel, the food and drink in it do not become impure. Because he (peace be upon him) has ordered that the fly be dipped into the vessel when it falls into it, even if the water is less than two pitchers.
Hadith 105
نا أَبُو الْخَطَّابِ زِيَادُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْحَسَّانِيُّ ، نا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَجْلانَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا وَقَعَ الذُّبَابُ فِي إِنَاءِ أَحَدِكُمْ ، فَإِنَّ فِي أَحَدِ جَنَاحَيْهِ دَاءً ، وَفِي الآخَرِ شِفَاءً ، وَإِنَّهُ يُتَّقَى بِجَنَاحِهِ الَّذِي فِيهِ الدَّاءُ فَلْيَغْمِسْهُ كُلَّهُ ، ثُمَّ لِيَنْتَزِعْهُ "
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a fly falls into the vessel of any one of you, he should fully immerse the fly in the vessel, then take it out, because one of its wings has disease and the other has cure. And it protects itself with the wing that has the disease."
