بَابُ الْأَمْرِ بِنَضْحِ الْفَرْجِ مِنَ الْمَذْيِ.
Chapter on the command to sprinkle water on the private part due to madhy
Hadith 21
حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى الصَّدَفِيُّ ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَنَّ مَالِكَ بْنَ أَنَسٍ حَدَّثَهُ ، عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ مَوْلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنِ الْمِقْدَادِ بْنِ الأَسْوَدِ ، أَنَّ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ أَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَسْأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ إِذَا دَنَا مِنْ أَهْلِهِ فَخَرَجَ مِنْهُ الْمَذْيُ ، مَاذَا عَلَيْهِ ؟ قَالَ عَلِيٌّ : فَإِنَّ عِنْدِي ابْنَةَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنَا أَسْتَحْيِي أَنْ أَسْأَلَهُ ، قَالَ الْمِقْدَادُ : فَسَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ ذَلِكَ ، فَقَالَ : " إِذَا وَجَدَ ذَلِكَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَنْضَحْ فَرْجَهُ ، وَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلاةِ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Miqdad bin Aswad (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sayyiduna Ali bin Abu Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) instructed him to ask the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about the person who, when he approaches his wife, pre-seminal fluid (madhi) is discharged—what is obligatory upon him? Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Since the daughter of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is with me (in my marriage), I feel shy to ask him this question." Sayyiduna Miqdad (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about this issue. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When any one of you finds (that madhi has been discharged), he should wash his private part and perform ablution (wudu) as he does for prayer."
Hadith 22
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ وَهْبِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمِّي ، أَخْبَرَنِي مَخْرَمَةُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ بُكَيْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ : أَرْسَلْتُ الْمِقْدَادَ بْنَ الأَسْوَدِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَسَأَلَهُ عَنِ الْمَذْيِ يَخْرُجُ مِنَ الإِنْسَانِ كَيْفَ يَفْعَلُ ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " تَوَضَّأْ وَانْضَحْ فَرْجَكَ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) that he said: Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) sent Sayyiduna Miqdad bin Aswad (may Allah be pleased with him) to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) (to ask about an issue). So he asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): What should a person do if madhiy (pre-seminal fluid) comes out? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Perform wudu and wash your private part."
