Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that on the day of the Trench, we were prevented from performing the prayers until some time had passed after Maghrib, and this happened before any revelation regarding the battle was sent down. Then, when we were relieved from fighting, and this was in accordance with Allah Almighty’s statement « وَكَفَى اللَّهُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ الْقِتَالَ ۚ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ قَوِيًّا عَزِيزًا » [ سورة الأحزاب : 25 ] "And Allah was sufficient for the believers in battle, and Allah is All-Strong, All-Mighty." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered Sayyiduna Bilal, and he gave the iqamah for Zuhr, then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the Zuhr prayer just as he used to perform it at its time. Then the iqamah for Asr was given, and he performed it just as he used to perform it at its time. Then the iqamah for Maghrib was given, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the Maghrib prayer just as he used to perform it at its time.
If they are performed at the time of the last prayer among them, and it is sufficient for each prayer among them with a single iqamah, and the evidence against the statement of those who claim that if the times of the prayers have passed, they are not to be performed in congregation, but rather are to be performed individually.
