Hadith Q485

لَا أَنْ يَلْحَظَ بِعَيْنِهِ يَمِينَا وَشِمَالًا مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يَلْوِيَ عُنُقَهُ، إِذِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ كَانَ يَلْتَفِتُ فِي صَلَاتِهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يَلْوِيَ عُنُقَهُ خَلْفَ ظَهْرِهِ‏.‏
By this, it is not meant to glance to the right or left without turning the neck, because the Prophet ﷺ would sometimes, when necessary, turn during his prayer without turning his neck behind his back.
