(36) بَابُ ذِكْرِ مَا كَانَ اللَّهُ- عَزَّ وَجَلَّ- فَرَّقَ بِهِ بَيْنَ نَبِيِّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَبَيْنَ أُمَّتِهِ فِي النَّوْمِ؛Chapter 36: What Allah distinguished between His Prophet and his nation regarding sleep
Hadith Q48
مِنْ أَنَّ عَيْنَيْهِ إِذَا نَامَتَا لَمْ يَكُنْ قَلْبُهُ يَنَامُ، فَفَرَّقَ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَهُمْ فِي إِيجَابِ الْوُضُوءِ مِنَ النَّوْمِ عَلَى أُمَّتِهِ دُونَهُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ
Because when the eyes of the Prophet (ﷺ) sleep, his heart remains awake. In the same way, there is a difference between the Prophet (ﷺ) and the Ummah regarding the obligation of ablution after sleep. For the Ummah, ablution becomes obligatory after sleep, but not for the Prophet (ﷺ).
