Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah
جماع أبواب ذكر أفعال اختلف الناس فى إباحته للمحرم، نصت سنة النبى صلى الله عليه وسلم أو دلت على إباحتهاChapters on Acts Permitted for the Pilgrim by Sunnah
(410) بَابُ النَّذْرِ بِالْحَجِّ ثُمَّ يَحْدُثُ الْمَوْتُ قَبْلَ وَفَائِهِ، وَالْأَمْرِ بِقَضَائِهِVowing to perform Hajj, then dying before fulfilling it, and the command to fulfill it on their behalf.
Hadith Q3041
وَالدَّلِيلُ عَلَى أَنَّهُ مِنْ جَمِيعِ الْمَالِ لِتَشْبِيهِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَذْرُ الْحَجِّ بِالدَّيْنِ
This also proves that the vow (such as Hajj, etc.) should be fulfilled from the entire wealth of the deceased, because the Prophet (peace be upon him) likened the vow of Hajj to a debt (and a debt is paid from the whole wealth, not just one third of it).
