(284) بَابُ الْتِقَاطِ الْحَصَى لِرَمْيِ الْجِمَارِ مِنَ الْمُزْدَلِفَةِ،Chapter: Collecting pebbles for stoning the pillars from Muzdalifah
Hadith Q2867
وَالْبَيَانُ أَنَّ كَسْرَ الْحِجَارَةِ لِحَصَى الْجِمَارِ بِدْعَةٌ، لِمَا فِيهِ مِنْ إِيذَاءِ النَّاسِ وَإِتْعَابِ أَبْدَانِ مَنْ يَتَكَلَّفُ كَسْرَ الْحِجَارَةِ تَوَهُّمًا أَنَّهُ سُنَّةٌ.
And the explanation that breaking stones to make pebbles is an innovation, because the one who breaks stones considering it a Sunnah causes hardship to people and tires himself.
