وَمَنْعَ [249- أ] الشَّيَاطِينُ إِيَّاهُ مِنْهَا بِتَخْوِيفِ الْفَقِيرِ إِنْ صَحَّ الْخَبَرُ، فَإِنِّي لَا أَقِفُ هَلْ سَمِعَ الْأَعْمَشُ مِنِ ابْنَ بُرَيْدَةَ أَمْ لَا؟ قَالَ اللَّهُ- عَزَّ وَجَلَّ-: [الشَّيْطَانُ يَعِدُكُمُ الْفَقْرَ وَيَأْمُرُكُمْ بِالْفَحْشَاءِ] الْآيَةَ [الْبَقَرَةِ: 268]
And the statement about the devils frightening him with poverty and preventing him from giving charity. If this narration is authentic. Because I do not know whether Imam A‘mash heard from Ibn Buraidah or not? Allah Almighty says: « الشَّيْطَانُ يَعِدُكُمُ الْفَقْرَ وَيَأْمُرُكُم بِالْفَحْشَاءِ ۖ » [ سورة البقرة : 268 ] "Satan threatens you with poverty and commands you to indecency."
