(2) بَابُ ذِكْرِ الدَّلِيلِ عَلَى ضِدِّ قَوْلِ مَنْ زَعَمَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يُخَاطِبُ أُمَّتَهُ بِلَفْظٍ مُجْمَلٍ،2| Evidence against those who claim the Prophet (ﷺ) did not address his nation with general terms
Hadith Q1472
مَوَّهَ بِجَهْلِهِ عَلَى بَعْضِ الْغَبَاءِ، احْتِجَاجًا لِمَقَالَتِهِ هَذِهِ أَنَّهُ إِذَا خَاطَبَهُمْ بِكَلَامٍ مُجْمَلٍ فَقَدْ خَاطَبَهُمْ بِمَا لَمْ يُفِدْهُمْ مَعْنًى، زَعَمَ
With this statement of his, he has concealed the truth from some foolish people through his ignorance, by saying that when the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him) addresses his Ummah with concise speech, it is as if he (peace be upon him) has addressed them without benefit. This is the assumption and thought of this person.
