(686) بَابُ ذِكْرِ الْخَبَرِ الْمُفَسِّرُ لِلْعِلَّةِ الَّتِي كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُخْرِجُ الْعَنَزَةَ إِلَى الْمُصَلَّى،686| Report explaining why the Prophet (ﷺ) brought a spear to the prayer place
Hadith Q1435
وَالدَّلِيلِ عَلَى أَنَّهُ إِنَّمَا كَانَ خَرَّجَهَا إِذْ لَا بِنَاءَ بِالْمُصَلَّى يَوْمَئِذٍ يَسْتُرُ الْمُصَلِّيَ
And the explanation of the evidence that the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to take a spear with him for this reason: because there was no structure in either of the Eid grounds that could serve as a sutrah (barrier) for the one praying.
