Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah
(398) بَابُ النَّاسِي لِلصَّلَاةِ وَالنَّائِمِ عَنْهَا يُدْرِكُ رَكْعَةً مِنْهَا قَبْلَ ذَهَابِ وَقْتِهَا398 Chapter: One Who Forgets or Sleeps through a Prayer and Catches a Unit before the Time Ends.
Hadith 984
نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى الصَّنْعَانِيُّ ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمِقْدَامِ الْعِجْلِيُّ ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ ، قَالَ أَحْمَدُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ مَعْمَرًا ، وَقَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ : عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " مَنْ أَدْرَكَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ مِنَ الْعَصْرِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ أَوْ رَكْعَةً مِنْ صَلاةِ الصُّبْحِ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ فَقَدْ أَدْرَكَ "
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (peace be upon him) said: Whoever catches two rak‘ahs of ‘Asr prayer before the sun sets, or catches one rak‘ah before the sun rises, then he has caught the prayer — (therefore, he should complete the rest of the prayer).
