(320) بَابُ الرُّخْصَةِ فِي الْمَشْيِ الْقَهْقَرَى فِي الصَّلَاةِ عِنْدَ الْعِلَّةِ تَحْدُثُ320 Chapter: Permission to Walk Backwards in Prayer Due to a Sudden Need.
Hadith 867
نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَزِيزٍ الأَيْلِيُّ ، أَنَّ سَلامَةَ حَدَّثَهُمْ ، عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، أَنَّ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ الأَنْصَارِيَّ ، أَخْبَرَهُ ، أَنّ الْمُسْلِمِينَ بَيْنَمَا هُمْ فِي صَلاةِ الْفَجْرِ مِنْ يَوْمِ الاثْنَيْنِ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ يُصَلِّي بِهِمْ لَمْ يَفْجَأْهُمْ إِلا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ كَشَفَ سِتْرَ حُجْرَةِ عَائِشَةَ ، فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهِمْ وَهُمْ صُفُوفٌ فِي الصَّلاةِ ، ثُمَّ تَبَسَّمَ فَضَحِكَ : فَنَكَصَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ عَلَى عَقِبَيْهِ لِيَصِلَ الصَّفَّ ، " وَظَنَّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَخْرُجَ إِلَى الصَّلاةِ ، فَأَشَارَ إِلَيْهِمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِيَدِهِ ، أَنْ أَتِمُّوا صَلاتَكُمْ "
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik Ansari رضي الله عنه narrates: While the Muslims were performing the Fajr prayer on Monday and Sayyiduna Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه was leading them in congregation, suddenly the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم appeared before them. He صلى الله عليه وسلم lifted the curtain of the chamber of Sayyidah Aisha رضي الله عنها and saw the companions standing in rows, praying. (Upon seeing this scene) he صلى الله عليه وسلم smiled broadly. Sayyiduna Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه began to step back, intending to join the row, thinking that the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم wished to come out for prayer. But the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم signaled to him with his blessed hand to complete the prayer.
