(306) بَابُ إِبَاحَةِ الدُّعَاءِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ306 Chapter: Permissibility of Supplicating in Prayer.
Hadith 848
نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبَّادِ بْنِ آدَمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْفَزَارِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ الأَشْجَعِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا نَغْدُو إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَيَجِيءُ الرَّجُلُ ، وَتَجِيءُ الْمَرْأَةُ ، فَيَقُولُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ أَقُولُ إِذَا صَلَّيْتُ ؟ قَالَ : " قُلِ : اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَارْحَمْنِي ، وَاهْدِنِي ، وَعَافِنِي ، وَارْزُقْنِي ، فَقَدْ جُمِعَ لَكَ دُنْيَاكَ وَآخِرَتُكَ "
Hazrat Abu Malik Ashja'i narrates from his esteemed father, who says that we used to present ourselves before the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) in the morning. Men and women would come and ask, "O Messenger of Allah, when I pray, how should I supplicate?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Supplicate in this way « اللّٰهُمَّ اغْفِرْلِي، وَارْحَمْنِي، وَاهْدِنِي، وَعَافِنِي، وَارْزُقْنِي » 'O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, guide me, grant me well-being, and provide for me.' Then all the good of your world and Hereafter will be gathered for you."
