(303) بَابُ ذِكْرِ الْبَيَانِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّمَا أَرَادَ بِالْمَرْأَةِ الَّتِي قَرَنَهَا إِلَى الْكَلْبِ الْأَسْوَدِ وَالْحِمَارِ وَأَعْلَمَ أَنَّهَا تَقْطَعُ الصَّلَاةَ، الْحَائِضَ دُونَ الطَّاهِرِ، وَهَذَا مِنْ أَلْفَاظِ الْمُفَسِّرِ303 Chapter: Clarification that the Prophet (peace be upon him) Meant by the Woman Who Cuts off the Prayer, the Menstruating Woman, Not the Pure One, and This Is from the Explained Statements.
Hadith 832

وَهَذَا مِنْ أَلْفَاظِ الْمُفَسِّرِ كَمَا فَسَّرَ خَبَرَ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ فِي ذِكْرِ الْكَلْبِ فِي خَبَرِ أَبِي ذَرٍّ، فَأَجْمَلَ ذِكْرَ الْكَلْبِ فِي خَبَرِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ فَقَالَ: يَقْطَعُ الصَّلَاةَ الْكَلْبُ وَالْحِمَارُ وَالْمَرْأَةُ. وَبَيَّنَ فِي خَبَرِ أَبِي ذَرٍّ أَنَّ الْكَلْبَ الَّذِي يَقْطَعُ الصَّلَاةَ هُوَ الْأَسْوَدُ دُونَ غَيْرِهِ، وَكَذَلِكَ بَيَّنَ فِي خَبَرِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ الْمَرْأَةَ الْحَائِضَ هِيَ الَّتِي تَقْطَعُ الصَّلَاةَ دُونَ غَيْرِهَا
And this is among the words of the explainer, as he explained the report of Abu Huraira and Abdullah ibn Mughaffal regarding the mention of the dog in the report of Abu Dharr. So he generalized the mention of the dog in the report of Abu Huraira and Abdullah ibn Mughaffal, saying: The dog, the donkey, and the woman cut off the prayer. And he clarified in the report of Abu Dharr that the dog which cuts off the prayer is the black one and not others. Likewise, he clarified in the report of Ibn Abbas that the menstruating woman is the one who cuts off the prayer and not others.
نَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " يَقْطَعُ الصَّلاةَ الْكَلْبُ ، وَالْمَرْأَةُ الْحَائِضُ "
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (peace be upon him) said: "A dog and a menstruating woman invalidate the prayer."
