جماع أبواب سترة المصليChapters on the Sutrah for the Praying Person
Hadith 804
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ بَيْنَ مُصَلَّى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَبَيْنَ الْجِدَارِ قَدْرُ مَمَرِّ الشَّاةِ "
Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the distance between the place of prayer of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and the wall used to be equal to the space through which a goat could pass.
