(263) بَابُ النَّهْيِ عَنِ السَّدْلِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ263 Chapter: Prohibition of Letting the Garment Hang Down in Prayer.
Hadith 772
نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى ، نا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمُبَارَكِ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ ذَكْوَانَ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ الأَحْوَلِ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " نَهَى عَنِ السَّدْلِ فِي الصَّلاةِ ، وَأَنْ يُغَطِّيَ الرَّجُلُ فَاهُ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade hanging a garment in prayer and that a person covers his face (in prayer).
