Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "When any one of you offers prayer and then remains seated in the same place where he prayed, the angels continuously supplicate for mercy for him. « اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهُ اللَّهُمَّ ارْحَمْهُ » 'O Allah, forgive him, O Allah, have mercy on him.' (The angels keep making these supplications continuously) as long as he does not lose his ablution." This is the narration of Ibn Fudayl. And in the narration of Ibn Wahb, these words are mentioned: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a Muslim person, after offering prayer, sits in his prayer place, the angels continue to supplicate for him until he breaks his ablution or stands up." (O Allah, forgive him, O Allah, have mercy on him.)
