(236) بَابُ صِفَةِ السَّلَامِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ.236 Chapter: The Manner of Saying Salam in Prayer.
Hadith 728
نا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ حَبِيبِ بْنِ الشَّهِيدِ ، وَزِيَادُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ، قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ : حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ ، وَقَالَ زِيَادٌ : حَدَّثَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الطَّنَافِسِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الأَحْوَصِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ ، السَّلامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ ، وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ ، السَّلامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ "
Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would turn to his right side saying « السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ » "Peace be upon you and the mercy and blessings of Allah," until the whiteness of his blessed cheek would become visible. And he would turn to his left side saying « السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ » until the whiteness of his blessed cheek would become apparent.
