(217) بَابُ وَضْعِ الْفَخِذِ الْيُمْنَى عَلَى الْفَخِذِ الْيُسْرَى فِي الْجُلُوسِ فِي التَّشَهُّدِ217 Chapter: Placing the Right Thigh over the Left Thigh while Sitting in Tashahhud.
Hadith 699
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ الْمُعَلِّمُ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْجَوْزَاءِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، كَانَ " يَقُولُ فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ التَّحِيَّةَ ، وَكَانَ يَفْرِشُ رِجْلَهُ الْيُسْرَى تَحْتَ الْيُمْنَى "
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to sit for Tashahhud in every two rak'ahs, and he (peace be upon him) would spread his right leg under his left leg.
