Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would often recite this supplication in his bowing and prostrations: « سُبْحَانَكَ اللّٰهُمَّ رَبَّنَا وَبِحَمْدِكَ اللّٰهُمَّ اغْفِرْلِيْ » "O Allah, O our Lord, You are pure and holy with Your praise. O Allah, forgive me." (In this way) the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would interpret the Qur'an. The Imam narrates this tradition from his respected teacher, Janab Salm bin Junadah, and stated that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would frequently recite this supplication, « سُبْحَانَكَ اللّٰهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ ».
