Hadith 583
نا عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ الْعَطَّارُ ، نا سُفْيَانُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ الزُّهْرِيَّ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ سَالِمًا ، يُخْبِرُ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ السَّعْدِيُّ ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ ، وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ ، وَعُتْبَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْيَحْمَدِيُّ ، وَالْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، وَيُونُسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى الصَّدَفِيُّ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ الأَزْهَرِ ، وَغَيْرِهِمْ ، قَالُوا : نا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ إِذَا افْتَتَحَ الصَّلاةَ حَتَّى يُحَاذِي مَنْكِبَيْهِ ، وَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَرْكَعَ ، وَبَعْدَمَا يَرْفَعُ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ ، وَلا يَرْفَعُ بَيْنَ السَّجْدَتَيْنِ " . هَذَا لَفْظُ ابْنِ رَافِعٍ . سَمِعْتُ الْمَخْزُومِيَّ ، يَقُولُ : أَيُّ إِسْنَادٍ أَصَحُّ مِنْ هَذَا . قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ يَحْيَى يَحْكِي عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ سُفْيَانُ : هَذَا الإِسْنَادُ مِثْلُ هَذِهِ الأُسْطُوَانَةِ
Hazrat Salim (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from his respected father, Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him), who says: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) raising his hands to the level of his shoulders when he began the prayer, when he intended to bow (ruku‘), and after raising his head from bowing. And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not raise his hands between the two prostrations. These are the words of Ibn Rafi‘’s narration. I heard Makhzumi saying: Which chain can be more authentic than this chain? Imam Sufyan Thawri (may Allah have mercy on him) said: This chain is as strong and firm as this pillar.
