(123) بَابُ الدُّعَاءِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ بِالْمَسْأَلَةِ عِنْدَ قِرَاءَةِ آيَةِ الرَّحْمَةِ، وَالِاسْتِعَاذَةِ عِنْدَ قِرَاءَةِ آيَةِ الْعَذَابِ، وَالتَّسْبِيحِ عِنْدَ قِرَاءَةِ آيَةِ التَّنْزِيهِ.Chapter 123: Supplicating in prayer when reciting verses of mercy, seeking refuge at verses of punishment, and glorifying at verses of exaltation
Hadith 543
نا بُنْدَارٌ ، نا يَحْيَى ، نا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، وَابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُوسَى ، نا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْعَسْكَرِيُّ ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ ، عَنِ الْمُسْتَوْرِدِ بْنِ الأَحْنَفِ ، عَنْ صِلَةَ بْنِ ظَفَرٍ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ، قَالَ : " صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ ، مَا مَرَّ بِآيَةِ رَحْمَةٍ إِلا وَقَفَ عِنْدَهَا فَسَأَلَ ، وَلا مَرَّ بِآيَةِ عَذَابٍ إِلا وَقَفَ عِنْدَهَا فَتَعَوَّذَ " . هَذَا لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ أَبِي مُوسَى
Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I prayed one night with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Whenever he recited a verse of mercy, he would pause and ask Allah Almighty for mercy, and whenever he recited a verse of punishment, he would pause and seek refuge with Allah Almighty from His punishment. This is the hadith of Abu Musa.
