Hadith 523
نا عِيسَى بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْغَافِقِيُّ ، نا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، وَابْنِ لَهِيعَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ الأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَتْ : شَكَوْتُ أَوِ اشْتَكَيْتُ ، فَذَكَرْتُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : " طُوفِي مُرُورَ النَّاسِ وَأَنْتِ رَاكِبَةٌ " ، قَالَتْ : فَطُفْتُ عَلَى جَمَلٍ ، وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي إِلَى صُقْعِ الْبَيْتِ ، فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقْرَأُ فِي الْعِشَاءِ الآخِرَةِ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ وَالطُّورِ ، وَكِتَابٍ مَسْطُورٍ " . قَالَ ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، وَقَالَ أَبُو الأَسْوَدِ : يَقْرَأُ وَيُرَتِّلُ إِذَا قَرَأَ ، إِلا أَنَّ مَالِكًا ، قَالَ : يُصَلِّي إِلَى جُنْبِ الْبَيْتِ
The noble wife of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), narrates that I became ill (during Hajj), so I informed the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). He said: "Perform Tawaf riding on a mount behind the people." She says that I performed Tawaf while riding a camel. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was facing the Ka'bah and offering prayer, so I heard him reciting Surah « وَالطُّورِ، وَكِتَابٍ مَّسْطُورٍ » [ سورة الطور ] in the 'Isha prayer while leading the people in prayer. Ibn Lahi'ah says that Abu Al-Aswad states, whenever the Prophet (peace be upon him) recited (the Qur'an), he would recite it slowly and distinctly. Malik has narrated these words: that the Prophet (peace be upon him) was offering prayer beside the House of Allah.
