(89) بَابُ وَضْعِ الْيَمِينِ عَلَى الشِّمَالِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ قَبْلَ افْتِتَاحِ الْقِرَاءَةِ.Chapter 89: Placing the right hand over the left in prayer before starting recitation
Hadith 479
نا أَبُو مُوسَى ، نا مُؤَمَّلٌ ، نا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ ، قَالَ : " صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى عَلَى يَدِهِ الْيُسْرَى عَلَى صَدْرِهِ "
Sayyiduna Wa'il bin Hujr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I prayed with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). And he (peace and blessings be upon him) placed his right hand over his left hand and folded them on his chest.
