(57) بَابُ الْأَمْرِ بِأَنْ يُقَالَ مَا يَقُولُهُ الْمُؤَذِّنُ إِذَا سَمِعَهُ يُنَادِي بِالصَّلَاةِ، بِلَفْظٍ عَامٍّ مُرَادُهُ خَاصٌّChapter 57: Command to repeat what the muezzin says when hearing the adhan, with a general wording but a specific meaning

نا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، نا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، نا مَالِكٌ ، نا الزُّهْرِيُّ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، نا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، نا يُونُسُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الأَيْلِيُّ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ ، وَيُونُسُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ اللَّيْثِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا سَمِعْتُمُ الْمُنَادِيَ فَقُولُوا مِثْلَ مَا يَقُولُ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him), he says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When you hear the mu'adhdhin (calling the adhan), then say as he says."
