(56) بَابُ الْأَذَانِ لِلصَّلَاةِ بَعْدَ ذَهَابِ الْوَقْتِ.Chapter 56: Adhan for prayer after its time has passed
Hadith 409
نا هَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ ، نا ابْنُ فُضَيْلٍ ، عَنْ حُصَيْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : سِرْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ ، فَقَالَ بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ : لَوْ عَرَّسْتَ بِنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : " إِنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ تَنَامُوا عَنِ الصَّلاةِ " ، فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ بِطُولِهِ ، وَقَالَ : فَاسْتَيْقَظَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " يَا بِلالُ ! قُمْ فَأَذِّنِ النَّاسَ بِالصَّلاةَ "
Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that one night we were traveling with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), so some people said, "O Messenger of Allah, if you would allow us to camp at the end of the night (it would be very good)." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "I fear that you may sleep through the morning prayer." Then the complete hadith was narrated. And it is mentioned that then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) woke up, then he said, "O Bilal, get up and give the call to prayer (adhan) to gather the people for prayer."
