جماع أبواب الأذان والإقامةChapters on Adhan and Iqamah
(55) بَابُ ذِكْرِ خَبَرٍ رُوِيَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ- صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ – [يَرَى] بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْجَهْلِ أَنَّهُ يُضَادُّ هَذَا الْخَبَرَ الَّذِي ذَكَرْنَا أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِنَّ بِلَالًا يُؤَذِّنُ بِلَيْلٍChapter 55: Report that some ignorant people think contradicts the previous report about Bilal calling the adhan at night
Hadith 406
نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، نا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ ، نا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّ ابْنَ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ يُؤَذِّنُ بِلَيْلٍ ، فَكُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا حَتَّى يُؤَذِّنَ بِلالٌ ، فَإِنَّ بِلالا لا يُؤَذِّنُ حَتَّى يَرَى الْفَجْرَ " . وَرَوَى شَبِيهًا بِهَذَا الْمَعْنَى أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Ibn Umm Maktum (may Allah be pleased with him) gives the call to prayer at night, so eat and drink until Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) gives the call to prayer. Because Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) gives the call to prayer only after seeing the dawn. A similar narration has been reported by Abu Ishaq from Aswad, from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her)."
