(47) بَابُ ذِكْرِ تَبَاعُدِ الشَّيْطَانِ عَنِ الْمُؤَذِّنِ عِنْدَ أَذَانِهِ وَهَرَبِهِ كَيْ لَا يَسْمَعَ الْأَذَانَChapter 47: Satan fleeing from the muezzin when he calls the adhan
Hadith 392
نا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عِيسَى الْبِسْطَامِيُّ ، نا أَنَسُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ ، عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِذَا سَمِعَ الشَّيْطَانُ الأَذَانَ بِالصَّلاةِ أَدْبَرَ ، وَلَهُ ضِرَاطٌ حَتَّى لا يَسْمَعَهُ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "When Satan hears the call to prayer (adhan) for the prayer, he turns his back and flees while passing wind, so that he does not hear the adhan."
