نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الْعِجْلِيُّ ، نا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَوْفٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : " مِنَ السَّنَةِ إِذَا قَالَ الْمُؤَذِّنُ فِي أَذَانِ الْفَجْرِ : حَيَّ عَلَى الْفَلاحِ ، قَالَ : الصَّلاةُ خَيْرٌ مِنَ النَّوْمِ "
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that it is Sunnah that when the muezzin says « حَيَّ عَلَى الْفَلَاحِ » in the Fajr adhan, he should say « اَلصَّلٰوۃُ خَیْرٌ مِّنَ النَّوْم » "Prayer is better than sleep."
