(34) بَابُ ذِكْرِ الدَّلِيلِ عَلَى أَنَّ مَنْ كَانَ أَرْفَعَ صَوْتًا وَأَجْهَرَ، كَانَ أَحَقَّ بِالْأَذَانِ مِمَّنْ كَانَ أَخْفَضَ صَوْتًا، إِذِ الْأَذَانُ إِنَّمَا يُنَادَى بِهِ لِاجْتِمَاعِ النَّاسِ لِلصَّلَاةِChapter 34: Evidence that the one with the loudest and clearest voice is most deserving of the adhan
Hadith 363
نا سَعِيدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الأُمَوِيُّ ، نا أَبِي ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : لَمَّا أَصْبَحْنَا أَتَيْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ بِالرُّؤْيَا ، فَقَالَ : " إِنَّ هَذِهِ الرُّؤْيَا حَقٌّ ، فَقُمْ مَعَ بِلالٍ ، فَإِنَّهُ أَنْدَى أَوْ أَمَدُّ صَوْتًا مِنْكَ ، فَأَلْقِ عَلَيْهِ مَا قِيلَ لَكَ ، فَيُنَادِي بِذَلِكَ " ، قَالَ : فَفَعَلْتُ ، فَلَمَّا سَمِعَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ نِدَاءَ بِلالٍ بِالصَّلاةِ ، خَرَجَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَجُرُّ رِدَاءَهُ ، وَهُوَ يَقُولُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، وَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ ، لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ مِثْلَ الَّذِي ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " فَلِلَّهِ الْحَمْدُ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: When we reached the morning, we presented ourselves before the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). I related to him the dream (regarding the adhan), so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, this is a true dream. Stand with Bilal, for he has a louder voice than you. Teach him the words that were shown to you (in the dream), and he should call the adhan with them." He says: So I complied with the order of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Then, when Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) heard Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) giving the adhan for prayer, he came out dragging his cloak towards the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah, by the One who has sent you with the truth, indeed I have seen the same as he has called out. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then all praise is for Allah alone (Who has made this dream come true)."
