Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that a man came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "My sister has vowed to walk on foot to the Sacred House (for Hajj)." So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah will not gain anything from your sister's hardship and distress (He is free of need). Tell your sister to ride (an animal) for Hajj and to offer expiation for her oath."
