Hadith 3003

Ibn Jurayj says that I asked Imam Ata, "Did you hear Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) say that indeed we have been commanded to perform Tawaf of the Sacred House (the Ka'bah), and you have not been commanded to enter the Sacred House?" He replied that Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) did not prohibit entering the Sacred House, but I heard him say this: Usama bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with them both) told me that when the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) entered the Sacred House, he supplicated in all its sides. I asked, "By sides, do you mean its corners?" He replied, "Rather, he supplicated towards every direction (qiblah) of the Sacred House."
