(319) بَابُ الرُّخْصَةِ فِي ذَبْحِ الْجَذَعَةِ مِنَ الضَّأْنِ فِي الْهَدْيِ وَالضَّحَايَا بِلَفْظٍ مُجْمَلٍ غَيْرِ مُفَسَّرٍ.Allowance to sacrifice a young sheep for Hajj or Eid, mentioned in general terms.
Hadith 2916
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي بَعْجَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بَدْرٍ الْجُهَنِيُّ ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَسَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ضَحَايَا بَيْنَ أَصْحَابِهِ ، قَالَ عُقْبَةُ : فَصَارَتْ لِي جَذَعَةٌ ، فَقُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، صَارَتْ لِي جَذَعَةٌ ، قَالَ : " ضَحِّ لَهَا " ، قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : خَرَّجْتُ تَمَامَ أَبْوَابِ الضَّحَايَا فِي كِتَابِ الضَّحَايَا ، وَإِنَّمَا خَرَّجْتُ هَذِهِ الأَخْبَارَ الَّتِي فِيهَا ذِكْرُ الضَّحَايَا فِي هَذَا الْكِتَابِ ، لأَنَّ الْعُلَمَاءَ لَمْ يَخْتَلِفُوا أَنَّ كُلَّ مَا جَازَ فِي الضَّحِيَّةِ ، فَهُوَ جَائِزٌ فِي الْهَدْيِ
Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir al-Juhani رضي الله عنه narrates that the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم distributed sacrificial animals among his noble companions. Sayyiduna Uqbah رضي الله عنه says that a one-year-old lamb came to my share. I submitted, "O Messenger of Allah, a one-year-old lamb has come to my share." The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, "Slaughter it." Imam Abu Bakr رحمه الله says that I have explained the rulings of sacrifice in the Book of Sacrifices. I have mentioned these rulings of sacrifice here only because the scholars are unanimous that every animal which is permissible to be slaughtered for Eid sacrifice is also permissible to be slaughtered for Hajj sacrifice.
