Sayyida Asma (may Allah be pleased with her)'s freed slave Abdullah narrates that Sayyida Asma (may Allah be pleased with her) was staying in the house at Muzdalifah on the night of Muzdalifah. Then she stood up and started praying and said, "Son, get up and see whether the moon has set or not?" I said, "No." She then started praying again, then called me and said, "Son, see whether the moon has set?" I said, "Yes." So she said, "Then let's depart." Thus, we set out from Muzdalifah and (upon reaching Mina) stoned the Jamrah Aqabah. Then she performed the Fajr prayer in her tent. Abdullah says, "I said to her, 'Mother, we have stoned (the Jamrah) at night.' She said, 'We (weak women) used to stone (the Jamrah) in the same way in the company of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him).' This is the narration of Bundar. Ibn Ma'mar says that Sayyida Asma (may Allah be pleased with her)'s freed slave Abdullah told me that Sayyida Asma bint Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with her) said, 'Son, has the moon set?' I said, 'Yes.' So she said, 'Then let's go.' Thus, we set out. We kept walking with her until she completed the stoning of Jamrah Aqabah. Then she returned and performed the Fajr prayer at her place of stay. So I said, 'Mother, we have stoned (the Jamrah) in the darkness.' She said, 'Not at all, son. The Prophet of Allah (peace be upon him) gave permission to veiled women to stone (the Jamrah) at this time.' Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that this hadith is evidence that the Prophet (peace be upon him) gave permission to only women to stone (the Jamrah) before sunrise, not to men. Imam Ata bin Abi Rabah has also narrated from Abdullah, who is the freed slave of Sayyida Asma (may Allah be pleased with her). Therefore, ignorance about him is completely removed.
