(283) بَابُ فَضْلِ يَوْمِ النَّحْرِChapter: Virtue of the Day of Sacrifice (Eid al-Adha)
Hadith 2866
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَوْرٌ ، عَنْ رَاشِدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ لُحَيٍّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ قُرْطٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَعْظَمُ الأَيَّامِ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ يَوْمُ النَّحْرِ ، ثُمَّ يَوْمُ الْقَرِّ " ، قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : يَوْمَ الْقَرِّ يَعْنِي يَوْمَ الثَّانِي مِنْ يَوْمِ النَّحْرِ
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Qurt (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The greatest day in the sight of Allah among the days is the Day of Sacrifice, and after it is the next day." Imam Abu Bakr (may Allah have mercy on him) says that by "Yawm al-Qarr" is meant the second day of sacrifice.
