(269) بَابُ الْأَذَانِ لِلْمَغْرِبِ وَالْإِقَامَةِ لِلْعِشَاءِ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَذَانٍ، إِذَا جُمِعَ بَيْنَهُمَا بِالْمُزْدَلِفَةِChapter: Adhan for Maghrib and iqamah for ‘Isha without a second adhan when combined at Muzdalifah
Hadith 2850
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُوسَى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، قَالَ : أَفَضْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ عَرَفَاتٍ ، فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ الشِّعْبَ الَّذِي يَنْزِلُ عِنْدَهُ الأُمَرَاءُ بَالَ ، وَتَوَضَّأَ ، قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، الصَّلاةَ , قَالَ : " الصَّلاةُ أَمَامَكَ " ، فَلَمَّا انْتَهَى إِلَى الْجَمْعِ أَذَّنَ وَأَقَامَ ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى الْمَغْرِبَ ، ثُمَّ لَمْ يَحِلَّ آخِرُ النَّاسِ حَتَّى أَقَامَ ، فَصَلَّى الْعِشَاءَ ، خَبَرُ حَفْصِ بْنِ غِيَاثٍ ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ مِنْ هَذَا الْبَابِ
Sayyiduna Usama bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that I returned from Arafat with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). When he reached the valley where the leaders and rulers descend, he dismounted there, urinated, and performed ablution. I said, "O Messenger of Allah, do you wish to pray?" He replied, "We will perform the prayer ahead." Then when he reached Muzdalifah, he had the call to prayer (adhan) given, and the iqamah was pronounced, and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) performed the Maghrib prayer. Then, before the people had even untied their mounts, the iqamah was pronounced again and he led the 'Isha prayer. There is also a narration from Jabir bin Muhammad regarding this issue.
