حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ الْقُرَشِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ الْكِنَانِيُّ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ مِنْ مَوَالِيهِمْ ، عَنْ بِشْرِ بْنِ قُدَامَةَ الضِّبَابِيِّ ، قَالَ : أَبْصَرَتْ عَيْنَايَ حِبِّي رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَاقِفًا بِعَرَفَاتٍ عَلَى نَاقَةٍ لَهُ حَمْرَاءُ قَصْوَاءُ ، وَتَحْتَهُ قَطِيفَةٌ قَوْلانِيَّةٌ ، وَهُوَ يَقُولُ : " اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ حَجًّا غَيْرَ رِيَاءٍ ، وَلا هِيَاءٍ ، وَلا سُمْعَةٍ "
Sayyiduna Bishr bin Qudamah al-Dhababi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that these two eyes of mine saw my beloved Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in the plain of Arafat, mounted on his she-camel Qaswa. There was a very simple sheet beneath you, and you were supplicating « اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ حَجًّا غَيْرَ رِيَاءٍ وَلا هِيَاءٍ وَلا سُمْعَةِ » "O Allah, make this Hajj safe from show, ostentation, and fame."
