(256) بَابُ اسْتِحْبَابِ وُقُوفِ الْبُدْنِ بِالْمَوْقِفِ بِعَرَفَةَ.Chapter: Recommendation to bring the sacrificial animal to the standing place at ‘Arafah
Hadith 2835
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا نُعَيْمُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ بْنِ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ وَهُوَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ , عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : " أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي حَجَّتِهِ مُنَادِيًا ، فَنَادَى عِنْدَ الزَّوَالِ أَنِ اغْتَسِلُوا " ، فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ بِطُولِهِ ، وَقَالَ : " فَلَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ التَّرْوِيَةِ أَمَرَ مُنَادِيًا ، فَنَادَى أَنْ أَهِلُّوا بِالْحَجِّ ، وَأَمَرَ بِالْبُدْنِ أَنْ تُوقَفَ بِعَرَفَةَ ، وَفِي الْمَنَاسِكِ كُلِّهَا "
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered a proclaimer during his Hajj, so he made an announcement at the time of decline (of the sun) to perform ghusl (ritual bath). Then he narrated the rest of the hadith and said: Then when the Day of Tarwiyah (the 8th day of Dhul-Hijjah) came, he (the Prophet) ordered his proclaimer, so he made this announcement: Enter into the state of Ihram for Hajj and recite the Talbiyah. And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that the camels be kept with them during the stay at Arafat and throughout the performance of all the rites of Hajj.
