(251) بَابٌ فِي فَضْلِ يَوْمِ عَرَفَةَ وَمَا يُرْجَى فِي ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ مِنَ الْمَغْفِرَةِ.Chapter: Virtue of the Day of ‘Arafah and hope for forgiveness on that day
Hadith 2827
حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْغَافِقِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي مَخْرَمَةُ . ح حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُنْقِدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ مَخْرَمَةَ بْنِ بُكَيْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ يُونُسَ بْنَ يُوسُفَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَا مِنْ يَوْمٍ أَكْثَرُ أَنْ يُعْتِقَ اللَّهُ فِيهِ عَبْدًا مِنَ النَّارِ مِنْ يَوْمِ عَرَفَةَ ، وَأَنَّهُ لَيَدْنُو ، ثُمَّ يُبَاهِي الْمَلائِكَةَ ، وَيَقُولُ : مَا أَرَادَ هَؤُلاءِ ؟ "
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no day on which Allah frees more servants from the Fire than the Day of Arafah. On that day, Allah draws near and then boasts to the angels about His servants (because of these pilgrims), and He asks the angels: 'What do these people want?'"
