(216) بَابُ اسْتِحْبَابِ غَسْلِ دَمِ الْحَيْضِ مِنَ الثَّوْبِ بِالْمَاءِ وَالسِّدْرِ، وَحَكِّهِ بِالْأَضْلَاعِ،Chapter 216: Recommendation to wash menstrual blood from clothing with water and lotus leaves, and to scrub with ribs
Hadith 277
نا بُنْدَارٌ ، نا يَحْيَى ، نا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ وَهُوَ الْحَدَّادُ ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ دِينَارٍ مَوْلَى أُمِّ قَيْسٍ بِنْتِ مِحْصَنٍ ، عَنْ أُمِّ قَيْسٍ بِنْتِ مِحْصَنٍ ، قَالَتْ : سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ دَمِ الْحَيْضِ يُصِيبُ الثَّوْبَ ، فَقَالَ : " اغْسِلِيهِ بِالْمَاءِ وَالسِّدْرِ ، وَحُكِّيهِ بِضِلْعٍ "
Sayyidah Umm Qais bint Mihsan (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) about menstrual blood that gets on clothes, so he (peace be upon him) said: "Wash it with water and lotus leaves, and scrape it off with a piece of wood."
